Hardwood overstory with oak, swamp maple and occasional American Hornbeam predominating; to the west, charred plant material suggests a recent forest service controlled burn. Other flora include one small clump of Atascoma lily, located on a "island" near the center of this swampy creek. Several mature S. minors displayed emergent inflorescences, up to 5 inches long.
